WJCC's Teen Program is designed to give teens a fun and safe place to hang out and meet other Jewish teens from all across Los Angeles. We invite teens to join us for community service projects, collaborative social events, Counselor-In-Training programs and the JCC Maccabi Games and ArtsFest, to name a few programming opportunities. We aim to provide experiences that allow teens to participate in new activities, explore their own identity, grow and mature as individuals, and contribute to a vibrant community of youth.
Below, you will find descriptions of upcoming special events, and you can scroll down for more information on our year-round programs. We hope you will join us!

Westside JCC Ongoing Teen Programs
Community Service Programming
Opportunities to serve the community are integral to the foundation of our programming for teens. We invite teens, as well as their families and friends to join us for a number of activities throughout the year, ranging from working together at a food pantry, to planting trees, to volunteering at Westside JCC events such a the Tu B'Shevat festival for our preschoolers. We love to have teens new to our program join us at these events, and we're also always happy for new ideas for teen-led great, meaningful service opportunities! For more information, click here.
JCamp Junior Counselor-in-Training Program
Volunteering as a Counselor-in-Training is a great way for a teen to hone their leadership style and take on new responsibilities, gain valuable work experience, and have a great time while doing it! JCamp Junior CIT's complete a training focused on child development and communication, safety in the classroom, leading activities for young campers, and actively supporting preschool staff to create the best possible experience for our youngest campers. This program is part time, so it readily complements a busy summer schedule, and is also a great way to get community service/volunteer hours. More information on next summer's program coming soon!
JCC Maccabi Games
The JCC Maccabi Games is unique annual event that can be equated to a Jewish Junior Olympics. It is a week-long program where Jewish athletes from around North America and the world compete in athletic competition, connect with a host community, form lifelong friendships with teammates and teens from other delegations, and explore their Jewish identity. Participation with the Los Angeles—Westside JCC delegation includes not only the opportunity to compete at the Games, but also the chance to work with great coaches throughout the summer, attend delegation-wide social events to connect with other teens from across Los Angeles before traveling to the Games together, and do community service projects so that we all leave a mark both on and off the court/field. This program is open to Jewish teens ages 13-16, and selection for a team is based upon tryouts that will take place during the winter. For more information on the JCC Maccabi Games experience, tryouts and participation, click here.
JCC Maccabi ArtsFest
JCC Maccabi ArtsFest® is a weeklong arts experience for creative Jewish teens ages 13-17. This program runs alongside the JCC Maccabi Games, and features home hospitality, includes opening and closing events with delegations from around the country and world, workshops led by internationally acclaimed artists in each field, performances, exhibits, community service, and social activities, all while strengthening bonds to Jewish heritage, community and Israel. Participation in this program is based upon audition submissions, which will be accepted in the winter.
