Children need to be 2 by August 31 to begin in our 2-year-old transition program in September. We offer programs for children ages 2-5. This includes our transitional kindergarten so that children with fall birthdays have a home here until it's time for kindergarten. Small group tours and/or open houses are available for all preschool age children beginning in October, the year before your child will attend, and can be scheduled by emailing Deborah Kaplan, Director of Early Childhood Education by calling 323.556.5251. Registration for the school year that begins in September takes place starting in January. After you have toured, you will be placed on our priority list to receive your application by mail. Applications are accepted and processed on a first come, first served basis with priority given to our current school families, siblings of former students and Westside JCC members. You will be notified by mail of your acceptance to our program in late February. Enrollment to our Early Childhood program is a privilege of Westside JCC membership. Membership dues are not included in the tuition fees and are paid annually.
Please join us for a tour where you will meet with the director and current preschool parents, visit the classrooms/outdoor play areas and see the children experiencing a typical day.
Email Deborah Kaplan or call 323.556.5251 to RSVP.
Westside Jewish Community Center provides financial support to families participating in our Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten programs. Awards are made based on financial need. Information about scholarships will be included with registration.
